The Senior School caters for students from Year 7 through to Year 12, attracting students from Canberra and the surrounding district as well as boarders from country areas and overseas. Our Senior School student population is culturally diverse and students speak more than 30 languages, representing all corners of the globe. The Boarding House provides the option for students to live on campus and caters for up to 80 boarders, offering a home away from home to support their education at CGGS.
As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we offer students a world-class education through a curriculum framework that is broad, balanced, conceptual and connected, and develops students
into lifelong learners. The Middle Years Programme (MYP), designed for students aged 11–16, engages with young people’s natural curiosity and connects the classroom with real world communities through service learning. Students may decide whether they wish to complete Years 11–12 under the IB Diploma Programme or ACT BSSS program.
