The Canberra Girls Grammar Junior School is celebrating 50 years of excellence in teaching and learning.
In 2021, the Junior School was nationally recognised with an Excellence Award as Primary School of the Year – Non-government by the Australian Education Awards, and has consistently placed among the top schools in the region. The Junior School is also one of the top International Baccalaureate schools in the Asia-Pacific, having received an outstanding 40 commendations with zero recommendations in its second five-yearly evaluation. With co-educational classes until the end of Year 3 and girls-only from Year 4, the Junior School is a place for children to not only learn but thrive.
At CGGS, we believe that students learn best when they feel safe, happy and respected through the strong relationships they form with teachers and peers. Through interaction, collaboration and play, we encourage our students to embrace their agency and build a learning experience that is challenging, meaningful and fun.
