Our Senior School staff and students have continued their support of Share the dignity – It’s in the Bag in 2022. In Term 4, our tutor groups collected over 300 bags of women's sanitary products to donate to Uniting Care Kippax. A group of our students generously offered their time to deliver the bags. We are so inspired by our students' generosity and compassion for their community. A big thank you to Ms Amanda Johnson for organising the School's collection.
Congratulations to the CGGS Year 8 and 10 students who participated in their grand final of the National Virtual Debating competition. In their debate against Newcastle Grammar, our Year 8 team of Elke, Sidhe and Ridhima successfully moved the motion, ‘that politicians should give up all personal social media during their terms’. The CGGS community mourns the loss of Dr Philippa Hetherington (2001), who passed away on Saturday, 5 November 2022. Philippa was a student at the Junior and Senior School during her time at CGGS and went on to have an outstanding career as an historian and academic.
