Last week our Senior students immersed themselves in a two-day retreat on campus. The retreats were led by Mrs Tara Dunstall, Ms Samantha Newbond, and Ms Rachel Vance and supported by the Year 11 and Year 12 Pastoral Care Teachers.
Stepping away from their daily studies, students reflected both individually and collectively, creating plans for a successful final two years at CGGS. The Year 11 pastoral care Signature Program is ‘Young Women who Know Themselves’ and the Year 12 Signature Program is ‘Young Women Who Inspire’. Both year groups completed sessions and workshops which targeted these themes.
Year 11 students enjoyed time and space for contemplation, renewal, and positive change. This was symbolised by the candles lit by each student in the School Chapel. Year 12 students researched career options, developing challenging but realistic goals, while gaining a deeper understanding of their academic progress and potential future interests. Listening to recent graduates inspired them to consider the legacy they will leave at CGGS.
