The Creative Arts and Technology show held at our lake-front facility, Yhurrumulum, was a great success, showcasing students work from Years 7-12 Creative, Performing and Technology subject areas.
Attended by students, parents, families, the wider community and Executive staff, guests marvelled at the brilliant visual works on display in the gallery-inspired setting, admiring the efforts and technical skills across the year groups.
We were joined by guest speaker Dan Toua (2005), a Grammarian and curator of Canberra Contemporary Arts Space who inspired students with the story of her creative journey and inspiration while attending CGGS.
Congratulations to all students with works on display. Their work was highly commended on the evening, their exemplary works and achievements marvelled by all who viewed the exhibition.
Students who received a red sticker adorned to their works have been selected for the CGGS annual works, an honorary display in the school walls, hallways and senior offices that will begin in 2023.
A special congratulations to Jenny (Y12) who won the People’s Choice award for her piece titled ‘Authentic Dream’. Bee’s (Y10) charcoal portrait was the runner-up.
