Students News Term 4 Week 1

As we enter the final term of 2024, we are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students as they explored, learnt and grew over the holidays.

World Education Program Australia has selected a Year 11 CGGS student to participate in an international exchange to France. From 2 November 2024–25 January 2025, this student will immerse themselves in a unique cultural and educational experience, living with a host family and attending a local French high school. This outstanding opportunity, supported by glowing teacher recommendations, is a testament to the students curiosity, resilience, and determination—well done!

In the world of dance, Hannah (Year 6) has showcased her talent and dedication, achieving remarkable results in recent Eisteddfods held during the school holidays:

  • Brindabella Dance Eisteddfod: Tap Champion
  • Brindabella Dance Eisteddfod: Strength and Technique Award
  • Wagga Dance Eisteddfod: Sam Willis Award for Modern Expressive Dance
  • Wagga Dance Eisteddfod: Donna Marks Depolia Award for Tap Dance

Our Silver Duke of Edinburgh students recently returned from an adventurous journey in Queensland. Their experience mastering sailing, teamwork and resilience epitomises the leadership skills nurtured through the program. These young women have forged unforgettable memories and valuable life lessons. The Duke of Edinburgh program is integral to our Year 9 Signature Program, ‘Young Women as Changemakers,’ encouraging students to explore, lead and grow beyond the classroom.
