Student News Term 3 Week 1

We are thrilled to share the exceptional achievements of our students to commence Semester 2 and Term 3. Our recent participation in the 2024 ACT & NSW Interschools Snowsport Championships once again highlighted the talent and dedication of our Junior and Senior School students.

The Interschools Snowsport Championships provide Australian school students with an unparalleled opportunity to engage in competitive snowsports at both recreational and competitive levels. With over 7,000 students from nearly 700 schools competing annually, this event is highly esteemed and challenging.

Junior School achievements

Our Junior School students demonstrated exceptional skill, securing podium places in each category and division.

• In Alpine Division 4, CGGS achieved first place as a team, with Jorja (Year 6) securing first place individually.
• In Alpine Division 5, CGGS placed second.
• In Alpine Division 6, CGGS placed second, with Charlotte (Year 2) achieving first place individually.
• CGGS secured third place in Ski Cross Division 4, second place in Ski Cross Division 5 and first in Ski Cross Division 6, with Helena (Year 2) securing first place individually.

We eagerly anticipate the announcement of our Senior School students' results.

Redlands Cup success

Our Snowsports team also participated in the Redlands Cup at Thredbo during the school holidays, achieving remarkable success. CGGS secured gold in Alpine Division 4 and 6 and individual gold and bronze medals.

These achievements are a testament to students’ hard work—we are immensely inspired by their dedication and commitment to sport during the school holidays.
