Congratulations to Year 9 student Cordelia Valentine, who has been recognised with an Outstanding Achievement Award and Scholarship as part of the Immerse Education Essay Competition. Cordelia entered into the category of Creative Writing and Film, focusing her essay on effective message delivery through movies. She chose this due to her career interest in film scripting and direction.
Cordelia's essay was one of over 7,000 submissions, with typically only around 200 students presented with a merit award or scholarship.
Her scholarship covers a contribution to a two-week residential Film Program at the University College London in August. Alternatively Cordelia can choose an online learning experience or student collaboration in a field of her choice.
Cordelia gave special thanks to Ms Rachel Vance for her fantastic essay writing support in 2024 which gave her the confidence to participate.
