CGGS Fete 2024

An iconic celebration of connection and cheer.

Now in its incredible 97th year, the CGGS Fete returns on Saturday 26 October!

Spread across three acres of the Senior School campus, the CGGS Fete is one of the biggest and well-known annual school fetes in Canberra, attracting over 3,000 attendees each year. Beyond being a legacy fund raiser and creating a positive, fun and exciting experience for all, the CGGS Fete connects the entire Canberra region with our 100-year old spirit and fosters current and new relationships with the local community.

Our fabulous Fete includes quality entertainment for all ages, including:

  • Over 40 stalls from local vendors covering high quality pre-loved books, cakes and sweet treats and arts and crafts—to name a few.
  • Live entertainment from CGGS bands, ensembles and performers, suitable for the whole family.
  • Food and refreshments from local Canberra producers.
  • A side-show alley for the young and young at heart.
  • Reptile encounters.
  • Rock climbing.

Join us for a celebration of togetherness and fun!

Parking at the Fete

There will be no parking available on the Senior School campus. We recommend that guests park at the ELC and Junior School campuses. Parking is also available in the surrounding suburb, but please ensure you park legally and pay attention to parking signs.

The CGGS Fete goes cashless

Please note that our Fete will be cashless this year. Our Fete is moving to a cashless experience, making it quicker and easier to 'tap and go' for all stalls. We encourage you to plan ahead to avoid disappointment on the day.

Photography and videography

CGGS will have a professional photographer and videographer present on the day of the Fete to capture the special moments. All students with media restrictions will be omitted from final production. If you have ay questions on concerns regarding photography or videography please contact communityrelations@cggs.act.edu.au.

Donations of items

We are currently seeking donations of high-quality used books, clothing and toys to sell at the Fete. To contribute, please contact pandf@cggs.act.edu.au.
